Welcome to the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union Local 255-C website. I hope you find its content both imformative and interesting. It is being developed by our member Bill Pierce and James Berge. I use the term “being developed” because it is a work in progress, and any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

The prospects for this endeavor are limitless. First and foremost, though, is its goal to inform and educate our membership on what’s happening within our Local Union. Such things as meeting dates, special events and grievances to name a few will be standard issue. We would also like to include a section dealing with questions by members, whereby a member could pose a question with regards to their collective agreement or any other concern they may have, and it would be answered on the page. Some of the other things we have considered include editorial sections and letters to the Executive. Again, the sky is the limit.

In this fast paced world in which we live, with commitments to our families and the crazy shifts our employers have us work, sometimes it becomes impossible to attend every Union metting, to be kept up to date. This page will try to accomplish that.

With that said, however, it is not the intention of this forum to replace general meetings, but rather to supplement them. Your attendance at Union mettings is vital in ensuring the democratic process, which is “Unionism”. It is said that, “every journey begins with a first step”; with your input and participation we can make this a successful one.
